Im giving 5 stars because I may have unknowingly skipped the tutorial, but I think a clearer explanation of how to play, what cards do what, etc, would be helpful. Otherwise, beautiful game!

The artwork and atmosphere is lovely, but I found the tutorial lacking. There isnt enough initial direction on how to play and progress. Im only continuing to play [the journey mode] because I love the graphics so much. Hopefully Ill get the hang of it as I go and discover what all I can do.

Absolutely mesmerizing, gorgeous graphics, enchanting music, captivating storyline, and relatively simple gameplay. Absolutely a fantastic game

The art is beautiful, but not super interactive. Most of the gameplay is done for you. Worth giving it a shot.

One of the worst games I have ever played. No tutorial,no explanation of cards or mechanics of those cards. You push your button,cards interact with each other,and you do that again. There are no HP numbers or defensive stats that are normal for card games. Yes the artwork and style of this game is incredible, but EVERYTHING else is poorly,poorly executed. Not even worth a free download. It also has energy timers and different currencies.

Love the game, but extremely disappointed. I made a $10 purchase in in app purchases and never received my item. Ive emailed at least three times and still havent heard anything back or received my items.

Looks cool but wont load on iPhone 6

This app is very beautiful, very well drawn and has an over powering since of aesthetics that you wont find with other apps! However it goes has its flaws, for one Ive been having trouble logging in with my Facebook to save my progress, along with this; every time I open the app it restarts me at the beginning so I have to restart all over again! One last thing is it can be a bit laggy upon loading and I think it should be more hands on! I really love whah the app has to offer but I believe with more hands on gameplay it would make this app that much better!

Really enjoying this app so far. The intriguingly dark theme and art style really make it stand out and a much welcome change of pace from the usual card based games. As others have mentioned, guidance for the game mechanics is a bit lacking and I felt like I was fumbling around in the dark (perhaps that is the point) even with the ? tips. But the more I play around with it the more I figure it out. Actual game play is very simple, but I dont find that too big of an issue. Looking forward to exploring this app more and happy to have come across something so different :)

This is a pretty dang decent game. The visuals are the best part.

Pretty art is haunted by frequent hangs. Is there really no single player campaign?

I think this game is great but the energy resources are so short that you cant play longer than maybe two minutes or so at a time. It really detracts from the beauty and cleverness.

Cards purchases impact your power without impacting your level, effectively letting you "twink" your deck and crush equally leveled opponents. Since that gets you access to powerful creatures and more cards, be prepared to spend roughly 40-50 dollars if you want to experience anything beyond the most basic grind of journeying.

I enjoy Afterland quite a bit except for one regular annoyance- frequently (at least half a dozen times, so far), when winning the last key to unlock a monster, the game will lock without giving the option to secure the monster. So then, after spending all your energy in battles, you have to exit the game without securing the monster. When you reload the game, it doesnt give you credit for capturing the key. Then you have to wait for your energy to recharge. By then, other players have captured your keys and you have to fight for those keys all over again. Maybe the game is designed to do so to encourage players to spend cash on in-game purchases to recharge energy, but it seems like a bug. Because of this frustrating issue, I cant give the game more than three stars.

From what I played so far its beautiful and I would love love love it if it wasnt just a card game....its like the game "Magic" just not my type.
